N’Sync could learn some moves from this heavenly boy band, apostles of pop who praise the Lord with funk and rhyme. This long-running, critically-acclaimed musical comedy is the hilarious story of a
small-town Christian boy-band (with one nice Jewish boy). Matthew, Mark, Luke, Juan and Abraham are nearing the end of their “Raise the Praise” tour of church halls and picnics. Now they have their chance to break into the big time, bringing their soul-saving tour to Atlanta. Armed with sharp wit, sinfully spectacular dance moves and angelic harmonies, the Altar Boyz aim to rock the masses of all denominations. A hilarious, holy hit for the whole family!

Arts at Emory (Atlanta - All Other Atlanta)
(Charles Chaplin, USA, Black and White, 1936, 87 min.) While the rest of the world had stampeded to sound, Charlie Chaplin could still draw millions mostly miming his way through a feature, again in the guise
of the Little Tramp character he developed during the ‘teens. In some of his most celebrated set-pieces, Chaplin haplessly pirouettes through the myriad perils of our “Modern Times,” including uproarious encounters with man-eating assembly lines, Workers’ Revolutions, accidental incarcerations and cocaine, all the while trying gamely to assist a beautiful orphan (Paulette Goddard, a former Ziegfield beauty and notoriously, Chaplin’s lover at the time). Part satire, part slapstick and all Charlie, “Modern Times” is a testament to the great comedian’s immense gifts as a filmmaker; Chaplin directed the film and closely supervised both the editing and the sound design, which includes the first words the Little Tramp ever spoke on film! The Emory Cinematheque is a joint effort organized and co-sponsored by Emory College and the Film Studies Department to provide the Atlanta community with programs of important international films throughout the academic year in a repertory cinema environment.

SCAD will exhibit the first Atlanta solo show of French artist Kader Attia at the ACA Gallery of SCAD. "Signs of Reappropriation" will feature a site-specific installation of Attia's 2007 "Untitled (Skyline)"
series, which consists of 80 discarded refrigerators painted black and covered in tiny, geometric mirror "windows." Also, Attia will exhibit a newly commissioned body of photographs that he will print and install during a brief residency at SCAD-Atlanta.
